I recommend checking in with Saturn at ages 28, 42, and 56 at a minimum, so that you aren’t caught by surprise by something you have come to rely on falling apart or demanding to be restructured. It’s much easier to work with Saturn than to clean up the mess after it’s done with you! 

• Saturn Returns are becoming notorious in pop culture astrology. The first one (around age 28, matching Saturn’s orbit) tends to be the roughest simply because we are young, less experienced, and simply not prepared for it. 
• Saturn’s hard transits occur about every 7 years in each cycle: the first square (7th year), the opposition (14th year), the second square (21st year), and finally the return to its original position in your natal (birth) chart (28th year). The second Saturn opposition of your life will bring your “midlife crisis” around age 42.
• Your second Saturn return arrives around age 56. 
• Saturn also has powerful supportive transits that help build in various aspects of your life. These occur halfway between the hard transits: the first sextile (year 3.5), the first trine (year 10.5), the second trine (year 17.5), and the second sextile (year 24.5).
